Statement: COVID-19
Ramsden International is open for business and Coronavirus ready: we have been, and will continue, to closely monitor developments with COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
What measures are we taking?
Guidance
We are taking guidance from the World Health Organisation, British Government and the UK NHS. Our internal Health and Safety committee are working with our Executive Board on business continuity plans, in line with daily public health updates, putting us in the best position to be able to advise customers and employees on developments.
Commitment and support for customers
It’s ‘business as usual’ for us at Ramsden International, with precautions in place to ensure we’re doing everything we possibly can for prevention. Our reprocessing facility is still fully operational and at present, while we have no issues with supply and business, we are working closely with our suppliers and distributors to minimise any potential disruption. Any potential knock-on effects to deliveries will be mitigated based on individual circumstance.
External communication to our customers and suppliers is under daily review and we will continue to communicate any relevant changes, as and when they occur, through updates on our website and directly via email and telephone.
Our Sales team will not be travelling until further notice, however they are readily available via telephone and email. If you do not have their direct contact details, please call us on +44 (0) 1472 315 610.
We advise anyone with concerns or questions to please contact your Customer Service Export Advisor or call us directly at our UK Head Office on +44 (0) 1472 315 610.
Export developments
Our dedicated Operations, Logistics, Sales and Customer Service teams are keeping up-to-date with how international safety measures around COVID-19 are impacting the export industry. This includes how the countries we export to are managing the situation, whether they have closed their commercial boarders and any potential logistics hurdles.
As a team, we are watching this situation very closely and will inform our customers as soon as we have any information that may affect the delivery of their orders or availability. We continue to work closely with our suppliers to ensure we see as little disruption as possible during this time. There may be occasions where we experience some delays, but please be assured we will inform our customers of any issues as early as possible.
Employee wellbeing
We have taken the necessary steps to ensure the safety and wellness of our employees by:
- Implementing a company-wide travel ban for all employees
- Encouraged self-isolation (remote working is now in place for all teams)
- Elevated hygiene procedures across all of our sites
- There will be no external visitors - external meetings have been cancelled until further notice, to reduce the number of group gatherings
- Increased internal communication – our Senior Leadership team meet every morning to discuss the current status of COVID-19, which is then communicated to the rest of the business daily
We are aware that the status of COVID-19 is changing every day, which is why we are continuing to evaluate developments and implement best practices for us as a business and service provider.
Our ongoing responsibility for the health and wellbeing of our employees does not affect our commitment to providing first-class service and support to our customers. We will continue to work closely with our customers and suppliers to minimise any potential disruption to continuity of supply.
We will provide updates as we learn more, but we’re confident that our preparation and contingency plans will be successful.
