Global wholesaler Ramsden International begin their next steps into a new era with the recruitment of two new members of the senior team.
Exporting to over 130 countries, and with an ambition to double the business, Ramsden International has proved successful due to its focus on offering customers a wide-range of products and value-added services. This next stage for CEO Sean Ramsden sees him focussing more on strategy and major growth initiatives.
Akhtar Zahid joins as Managing Director. This new role will see Akhtar take over the daily responsibility for the running of the business. Akhtar joins from Ornua, where he worked as Head of Global Foodservice, having previously worked as Head of Strategy & Business Development for DAL Food in the Middle East & Africa.
Ramsden International have also appointed Kirsty Cooper into the role of Commercial and Supply Chain Director. Her new role will see her take responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of products across the business leading the Buying, Category, Marketing & Supply Chain functions. Kirsty joins from Symington’s, where she worked as Market Strategy and Planning Director. Kirsty previously held a variety of senior Sales & Marketing positions at Capri-Sun, Coca-Cola, & Britvic.
