In 1991, Craig Sams, founder of Whole Earth, was sent some organic cocoa beans and chose to use them to create a dark chocolate bar. Leaving the half-eaten bar on his desk, Craig’s wife, Josephine, made a move on the unguarded chocolate and was overwhelmed by the unique, delicious flavour. It was so delicious that this was what led the couple to begin making more chocolate!

Green & Black, Green to symbolise the brand’s ethical and sustainable beliefs and Black to represent the intensity of the high cocoa content of the chocolate, aim to create distinctive chocolate which is always Fairtrade and organically sourced.
